Blue Planet Divers Treasure Hunt

For the first time on Koh Lanta, Blue Planet Divers will organise an underwater treasure hunt at the best dive sites of Koh Lanta. The event will start on the 28th of November 2009 for the duration of 2 days. The event welcomes every certified diver from all ages and experience.

This event is to share the awareness of the environment and knowledge of the marine life. PADI Project Aware and Greenfins are our sponsors to this event.

A maximum of 8 teams will participate with a maximum of 3 divers in each team.

For the less experienced divers, we will provide a Divemaster/Instructor to accompany them.

Prizes will be offered to the winners of the treasure hunt but also to:

- The funniest shot
- The best marine life shot
- The best environmental shot

To find the treasure, you will be equipped with an underwater camera (1 per team) and you will have tasks such as taking specific marine life shots or environmental shots to gain points which will enable you to access clues that will help you find the treasure.

On day 1, we will ask you to take various types of photos and then we will take your camera to develop the prints overnight.
On day 2, we will return your photos which you will then tell us which meets each task.

Your points will then be allocated accordingly. Each photo can only be used once. Then depending on how many points you received, you will obtain clues that will help you to find the treasure. The scores for the ‘best shots’ will be judged later on that day.

Cost to participate: 6,900 baht
This will include full equipment, hotel transfer, camera, breakfast and lunch, beverages, insurance and entrance fee. To participate, you need to have an Open Water certificate minimum and be medically fit for diving.
